I am so grateful today! The morning air was so fresh, unusually crisp for being this time of the year in Texas. I almost got a sense of Swedish fall in the air! And I really got to experience it as I biked to my Tuesday yoga class. What a blessing that my car was being repaired and I had to get out of my habitual way of doing things! And what a blessing to slow down, reconnect with my whole being, and find my inner strength at yoga.
As a Certified Body Centered Coach and Teacher, I know the importance of including all parts of ourselves – body, mind and spirit – in the things we are doing. If one part is left out, something is missing! This holistic perspective is one of the reasons I am passionate about the Body-Centered Coaching concepts. In Body-Centered Coaching we assist our clients to move from head to heart. When we slow down and get curious, we can tap into our body’s wisdom for the answers the mind needs. Like anything else it takes practice and that is what we are doing in the tele-training that started last week.
I am very excited co-teaching this first module with Marlena; Moving beyond Limits. It is one of my favorite modules; it’s a simple, yet powerful, way to help clients to move past their limiting thoughts. I experienced the deep impact of the coaching concepts myself, when I realized I was stuck and needed help to move forward in my coaching business. I was holding myself back because I didn’t trust myself “to get it right”.
By being coached with these powerful coaching concepts I was able to move past my limiting thoughts and instead embody a new and empowering way of thinking: “I have what it takes in my heart”. This is now my mantra that I can go back to at anytime. I have the tool to make the choice and it’s a relief to get out of my own destructive way, knowing I have what it takes in my heart!
